Review of the electronica 2022 trade fair

From November 15-18, after the Corona break, we were finally able to welcome you back live in Munich at electronica.

It was a great pleasure for us to see long-time customers, business partners and friends again and to exchange ideas with you in a relaxed atmosphere at our booth. But also first-time contacts could be made and new promising business relations could be established.

Interested parties were able to hear from our competent staff about the latest trends in the world of electronics. One highlight to be mentioned here is the full-color E Ink display "Gallery Plus", which impresses with its bright colors and its improved contrast. It can be used for a wide range of applications, from digital timetables at bus stops to large advertising spaces on the back of trucks.

Our long-standing partner Lextar also impressed with its technical innovations in the automotive sector. As a partner exhibitor of BECK, the Taiwanese LED and semiconductor manufacturer showed various prototypes from the four product areas "Interior", "Exterior", "Direct Display Backlighting" and "Sensing Applications". A special highlight was a transparent automotive micro-LED display for the "Interior" area. Here, micro-LEDs are installed directly on a glass substrate, which are a hundred times smaller than conventional or mini-LEDs.

Furthermore, there was also a European premiere for the "Exterior" area. The "I-Mini Display", which was already presented at the Touch Taiwan 2022 trade fair in April 2022, was presented to the public in Europe for the first time at Electronica. This is an LED display, which is available as an RGB or single-color display. A special feature is the customized design of the individual display modules, which allows customers to freely configure size and border area. In addition, several modules can be connected to each other and adapted to the HMI displays accordingly. As application areas, Lextar is targeting here the function as an exterior display and, in the medium term, as a taillight system including brake lights, turn signals and reversing lights.

Furthermore, there was a lively participation in our raffle, in which the number of different components in a glass box had to be estimated. The prizes included a modern smartwatch and an innovative e-book reader. Congratulations to all the winners!
